One Vision Housing unveils Birkenhead rent to buy scheme

MERSEYSIDE’S One Vision Housing (OVH) has unveiled its biggest rent to buy development so far, with its new scheme of 47 apartments in Birkenhead.

Church View was rescued by OVH, part of the Sovini Group, after the original developer went into administration, and it has since been built to a high specification by Sovini’s construction arm.

The development features 47 two-bedroom apartments, complete with two bathrooms. The scheme is intended to give future homeowners the opportunity to save for a deposit on a home through the government-backed rent to buy programme.

Local councillors Brian Kenny and Julie McManus attended the development’s official launch early this month, along with Wirral Deputy Civic Mayor George Davies and representatives from Homes England, Wirral Council and Wirral Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re delighted to announce the launch of Church View in Birkenhead,” said Ian Mitchell, OVH’s managing director. “This exciting new development is part of our ongoing commitment to build thriving, inclusive communities and will go a long way in helping members of the local community get on the property ladder. The development is one of several underway and planned for One Vision Housing in the Wirral, supporting our growth plans across the City Region.”
