A Newcastle-based software company specialising in property services has expanded its presence in the social housing sector after scooping up a rival business along with its market-leading repairs and maintenance solution.
Orchard Information Systems has acquired InterNETalia and its AccuServ product, which is said to make job and sub-contractor management easy, from raising the work through to completion.
The software is designed to offer housing providers and their contractor partners a single solution for recording, scheduling and managing repairs, emergency and planned work, voids and compliance jobs.
Pat Clarke, Orchard’s chief executive, said: “We are very pleased to have acquired the best repairs and maintenance solution with full mobile capability and powerful scheduling, that fits our customers’ needs, as this is something they have been requesting for some time.
“This solution also accelerates our vision to become the market leading, single supplier of choice by delivering greater value to our customers.”
Alec Reid, InterNETalia’s chief executive, added: “Orchard and InterNETalia are a perfect match. This takes AccuServ to the next level, exposing it to a wider set of customers and markets.
“As businesses we are culturally aligned, sharing many core values particularly around our focus on customer service and continuous innovation. Coming together will deepen our combined knowledge and sector expertise to serve our customers better.”
Orchard AccuServ Repairs & Maintenance, as it is now known, has been designed “from the ground up” to provide a complete end-to-end repair and maintenance solution, including a full suite of mobile capability, stock control and EDI integration, the company said.
With repair workflows, responsive repairs, voids, sub-contractor management and more, it is claimed to give all the tools needed to ensure repairs are dealt with in the most efficient way.
AccuServ is also said to provide seamless integration with Orchard’s Housing and Asset Management solutions. The company said that it is committed to supporting and expanding integrations with other housing management, finance and asset management systems. However, the solution will continue to be developed and marketed as an independent, standalone offering.
