HOMES England has recruited Brian McIntyre to the newly created role of chief digital and technology officer to help the agency modernise its systems.
McIntyre is set to join the agency from design and engineering consultancy Atkins, where he has held several leadership and strategic client roles over the last nine years, including head of digital advisory and chief technologist for a major UK Government department. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
In its five-year Strategic Plan, published in October 2018, Homes England committed to putting new technologies in place to enable modern business processes. Digitising systems is central to this transformation, allowing the agency to work more efficiently with partners and respond to the changing needs of the housing market.
As chief digital officer, McIntyre will be responsible for designing and delivering Homes England’s digitalisation strategy, making sure that digital becomes ingrained in the business and building sustainable digital capacity across the agency.
