YORKSHIRE Housing is almost a third of the way towards realising its ambition to deliver 3,120 new homes before March 2021.
This month the organisation hit 1,000 homes with a new property in Pontefract.
The home was one of seven homes taken over by Yorkshire Housing at Ashmeade Park; three of these are shared ownership houses, while the remaining four are for social rent.
“We’re delighted to have hit this important milestone and to start the New Year off with some good news,” said Andy Gamble, the housing association’s director of development. “We’ve got a long way to go but we’re on the right track and will continue to focus on the target to build more than 3,120 by 2021.
“With the struggle for social housing ever more omnipresent, it’s vital that we keep our aims in sight to help alleviate the housing pressure in Yorkshire and keep our customers at the forefront of what we do.”
